HubSpot for logistics companies and marketplaces
We configure HubSpot for both sides of your market: shippers, buyers and tenants next to carriers, sellers and landlords in one portal, onboarding pipelines that end at the first transaction, lanes or shipments as custom objects on Enterprise, and volume and net revenue synced in through Data Hub, hosted in HubSpot's EU data centre in Germany if you choose it.

Is HubSpot a good fit for logistics companies and marketplaces?
Yes. HubSpot gives logistics companies and marketplaces sales, marketing, account management and support on one platform, with demand and supply accounts in one CRM, separate pipelines for new accounts, supply onboarding and tenders, and the Listing object for marketplace supply. Data Hub brings in volume and net revenue, and Enterprise adds custom objects such as lanes or shipments.
Many logistics companies and marketplaces we meet run HubSpot for one side of the market only. Supply partners sit in spreadsheets, volume and net revenue live in the operations system, and every deal closes at signature whether or not the account ever transacts. A model with both sides as companies, onboarding pipelines that end at the first transaction and volume synced in gives sales, supply and account management the same view.
Checkpoint GTM is a HubSpot Platinum Partner based in Berlin. We configure Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Data Hub and Revenue Hub for logistics companies and marketplaces, connect operations and finance data, migrate from Salesforce, another CRM or spreadsheets, train your teams and hand the portal to a named owner.
What we configure
- Demand and supply companies with a market role (demand, supply or both) and segment, contacts labelled by role, and parent companies for groups with several sites or countries
- Deal pipelines for new demand accounts, for supply onboarding, and for expansion and tender rounds
- The Listing object or custom objects for lanes and shipments, and volume, GMV and net revenue through Data Hub
- Calling apps, the customer portal and customer agent for both sides, single sign-on, audit logs and Breeze agents
Typical hub mix
- Smart CRM and Sales Hub for demand sales, supply acquisition and account managers, Marketing Hub for customer campaigns and supply-side onboarding emails
- Service Hub for customer and supply partner support with the customer portal; Data Hub for operations and finance data; Revenue Hub for quotes on contract and subscription deals
- Enterprise where you need custom objects for lanes, tenders or shipments, multi-account management or Data Hub Enterprise warehouse connections, Professional where you do not
The HubSpot object model we build for logistics companies and marketplaces
A logistics or marketplace account can buy, supply or both, often across several sites and countries, and its value shows up in volume after the deal. The HubSpot model has to hold all of that and stay reportable. This is where we start, adapted to your business.
- Companies on both sidesShippers, buyers or tenants and carriers, sellers or landlords as companies, each with a market role of demand, supply or both, a segment and an owner, and parent and child companies for groups with several sites or country organisations.
- Contacts and rolesLogistics, supply chain, procurement and finance contacts on the demand side, owners, dispatchers and account managers on the supply side, each labelled with their role on the company and the deal.
- DealsOne deal per new account, tender, expansion or supply onboarding, with deal type, market, product line, expected annual volume and expected net revenue, so GMV is never reported as revenue.
- Products and line itemsA product library for your services, modes, fees and subscription plans, and line items on deals, so expected net revenue by service, plan and market comes from the deal itself.
- Listings for marketplace supplyHubSpot's Listing object, activated by a Super Admin in the data model, holds supply that is offered as listings, such as apartments, space or capacity, associated with the supply company that offers it.
- Custom objects for lanes, tenders and shipmentsOn Enterprise, custom objects hold lanes or, where volumes allow, shipments (one of HubSpot's own examples), associated with companies and tender deals. We design them within HubSpot's custom object limits and keep high-volume data as aggregates.
Pipelines for demand, supply and expansion
Each motion gets its own pipeline, stage definitions and exit criteria, so a signed account that never transacts stays visible and supply onboarding is never counted as a demand win.

Integrations we connect to HubSpot for logistics companies and marketplaces
We connect the systems that hold shipments, orders, bookings and invoices, so HubSpot shows each account's volume and value without becoming your operations or billing system.
- Operations data through Data HubData Hub syncs data between apps, with custom field mappings from Data Hub Starter, and on Data Hub Enterprise HubSpot connects data warehouses and storage platforms, the usual route for volume, GMV and activation from a transport management system or marketplace database.
- Datasets for GMV, net revenue and take rateData Hub datasets, on Professional and Enterprise and currently in beta, combine HubSpot records with external data such as volume and revenue, for one report on pipeline alongside GMV and take rate where those measures apply.
- ERP and finance connectorsHubSpot's marketplace has an ERP category with connectors for Xentral, Odoo, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and others. We check which records each connector supports, then map customers, invoices and products into HubSpot in one direction, with finance staying the system of record.
- Calling apps for phone-heavy teamsCalling and SMS apps from the HubSpot marketplace log calls and texts to contacts, companies, deals and tickets, for demand sales, account managers and supply teams who do much of their work by phone.
- Quotes on Revenue HubFor contract business and software subscriptions, quotes on Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise build the price from the deal and your product library, with e-signature, and Revenue Hub adds renewal quotes and contracts. Spot pricing stays in your pricing or transport management system.
- Salesforce sync or migrationWhere a sales team stays on Salesforce, HubSpot's Salesforce integration on Professional or Enterprise syncs contacts, companies and deals with a rule per field, plus custom objects on Enterprise. Where you move, HubSpot Smart Transfer brings the data across once.
Security and data settings we configure
Large shippers and enterprise buyers run vendor reviews, and your data protection officer will ask how the CRM handles contact data from both sides of the market. These are the HubSpot settings we put in place and document.
- EU data hosting in GermanyHubSpot hosts accounts in an EU data centre in Germany, and paid accounts can change their data centre. New paid accounts are assigned a data centre by sign-up location; we confirm it at setup or plan the move for an existing portal.
- DPA and GDPR toolsHubSpot's DPA includes GDPR terms and EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We set up legal basis on contacts, consent-based limits on marketing email, permanent delete and the data request manager.
- SSO and audit logsSingle sign-on on Professional and Enterprise, and audit logs of account activity, where Enterprise Super Admins can also see actions taken by HubSpot employees in the account.
- A data-minimal CRM designShipment documents, proof of delivery, carrier and seller verification documents, bank details and payouts stay in the operations and finance systems that own them. HubSpot holds what sales, supply and account management need to work an account, and that rule is written into the CRM documentation.
- Countries, brands and entitiesCompanies operating in several countries or under several brands can link up to 29 additional Professional or Enterprise accounts to an Enterprise main account, or run several brands in one account with the Brands add-on on Marketing Hub Enterprise.
- Security reports for vendor reviewsHubSpot has a confidential SOC 2 Type II report, a public SOC 3 report and its first SOC 1 Type II report, and carries the EU Cloud Code of Conduct Level 2 mark. We point your customers' IT reviewers and your data protection officer to them, next to the CRM documentation we write.
Breeze AI agents, set up for logistics companies and marketplaces
HubSpot's Breeze agents run on HubSpot Credits. We set up the ones that save demand, supply and account teams real time and point them at clean account data.
- Prospecting agentResearches target accounts showing intent and drafts outreach from CRM, conversation and intent data, in the contact's preferred language, which helps when sales opens a new country or lane.
- Data agentFills properties such as industry, company size, locations or the categories a seller offers from web research, company websites and call transcripts, through smart properties and workflow actions.
- Customer agentAnswers routine questions from customers and supply partners about onboarding, account access and how-to topics, on Professional and Enterprise, with credits consumed only when it delivers a resolution. Rates, claims and payouts go to your team.
- Agent builderCustom agents for your own processes, for example an account brief before a tender meeting, or a weekly note on volume changes per key account written back to the company record, built with actions that browse the web and read and write CRM records.
Moving a logistics company or marketplace into HubSpot
From Salesforce, another CRM, spreadsheets, or a HubSpot portal that only one side of the business uses. Our migrations follow four steps.
Map the model
Inventory every object, field and pipeline, and agree how demand and supply accounts, sites, tenders, listings and onboardings map to companies, labelled contacts, deals, listings and custom objects before a record moves.
Clean and consolidate
Merge duplicate accounts and contacts, link sites and country organisations to their parent company, mark accounts that both buy and supply, reconcile open deals with operations data, and record the legal basis for every contact you keep.
Move and test
Move the data with imports or HubSpot Smart Transfer where it supports your source system, connect operations and finance data, and run a dry run with real accounts, tenders and onboardings before cut-over.
Train and hand over
Demand sales, supply acquisition, account management and support are trained and switch on a fixed date, dashboards go live, and a trained owner on your side takes over the portal and its documentation.

Questions about HubSpot for logistics companies and marketplaces
Is HubSpot a good fit for logistics companies and marketplaces?
Yes. HubSpot runs sales, marketing, account management and support for logistics companies and marketplaces on one platform. Demand and supply accounts sit in one CRM, separate pipelines track new accounts, supply onboarding and tenders, the Listing object holds marketplace supply, Data Hub brings in volume and net revenue, and Enterprise adds custom objects for lanes or shipments.
HubSpot vs Salesforce for logistics companies and marketplaces?
Both run logistics and marketplace teams well, and we implement both. HubSpot is usually faster to launch and easier for a growing team to adopt and own, with sales, marketing and support for both sides of the market on one platform and Breeze agents built in. Salesforce suits companies with deep enterprise customisation and an in-house admin team. Where a team stays on Salesforce, HubSpot's Salesforce integration keeps both in sync.
Can HubSpot hold both sides of a marketplace?
Yes. We set up demand and supply accounts as companies with a market role of demand, supply or both and a segment, each with its own owner and pipeline, and label contacts by their role. Accounts that both buy and supply stay on one record. Reports then show demand, supply and activation next to each other by lane, region or category.
Can HubSpot connect to our transport management system or marketplace database?
Yes. Data Hub syncs data between apps with custom field mappings from Data Hub Starter, and Data Hub Enterprise connects data warehouses and storage platforms, the usual route for operations data. We bring volume, GMV, net revenue and activation per account into HubSpot in one direction and keep operations as the system of record for shipments, orders and bookings.
Which HubSpot tier does a logistics company or marketplace need?
Professional often covers a single sales and supply organisation, with single sign-on, the Service Hub customer portal and the customer agent (which runs on HubSpot Credits); quotes need Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise. Enterprise makes sense when you want custom objects for lanes, tenders or shipments, multi-account management for several countries or a data warehouse connection (Data Hub Enterprise). We size the hub and seat mix to your process, not the other way round.
Should shipments and orders live in HubSpot?
Usually as aggregates. On Enterprise, custom objects can hold shipments, one of the examples HubSpot itself gives. Where volumes run high, we sync weekly or monthly volume, GMV and net revenue per account instead, keep every shipment, order and booking in your operations system, and design any custom objects within HubSpot's limits.
How long does a HubSpot implementation for a logistics company or marketplace take?
A standard HubSpot build takes 6 to 10 weeks and a complex multi-hub build 12 to 16 weeks, depending mainly on the operations and finance data connections and the state of your existing CRM data. Migrations from another CRM start from €15K, and work usually starts within two weeks of the first call.
Can customers and supply partners get support in HubSpot without calling us?
Yes. On Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, the customer portal lets customers and supply partners view, open and reply to their support tickets and read your knowledge base, and the customer agent answers routine onboarding and how-to questions. Rates, claims and payouts still go to your team.
